A former professional baseball player has helped KNCT Athletics lease space for a new baseball training facility in Tempe near Alameda Drive and Priest Drive.
Joe Jones is a former pitcher who played for minor league affiliates of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays. He last played in a Mexican independent league in 2025 and has since joined the industrial team as an advisor at LevRose Commercial Real Estate.
KNCT Athletics is the company that will operate the training facility, focusing on the development of high-level and professional pitchers. The company previously operated from a subleased space within another performance training facility, but its growth required a larger location.
According to LevRose, Jones leveraged his firsthand experience in baseball to identify a facility uniquely suited to KNCT Athletics’ operational needs. The facility is strategically located in an area with convenient access to Interstate 10, US 60, SR 143, Loop 101 and Loop 202 — in the heart of a region where baseball is massively popular.
“Representing the tenant in this transaction was a full-circle moment for me,” Jones said in a press release. “I was able to combine my expertise in baseball and commercial leasing to successfully represent a growing business in an industry that has meant a lot to me.”
The new facility will feature two pitching mounds, a weight room, warm-up and cardio areas, open flex space, storage areas and office space designed specifically for elite baseball training and player development.
