Italian restaurant Pizzicata opens doors in Carefree

The new restaurant will feature authentic Italian restaurants including salad, pasta and pinsa, which is an alternative to pizza.

 

PHOENIX – An authentic Italian restaurant will open its doors in Carefree on Saturday.

Pizzicata is an Italian restaurant located in the Historic Spanish Village that features a Roman take on food, according the restaurant’s website.

Owner Federico Venturini and his wife, Viola Tagliaferri, moved from Umbria, Italy, to open Pizzicata along with local business owner Phillip Silvio Igneri.

One of the staple menu items for Pizzicata is pinsa, a Roman take on pizza that undergoes a different dough hydration process.

Additionally, Pizzicata’s menu features salads, pastas, paninis and a full bar.

Pizzicata offers happy hour specials on food and drinks Monday-Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and all day Sunday.

The restaurant will be open Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Pizzicata is located at 7212 E. Ho Rd.
