Investigation underway after shooting in Phoenix leaves man dead

PHOENIX — An investigation is underway after a shooting in Phoenix on Friday afternoon left a man dead, authorities said.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call near Indian School Road and 83rd Avenue around 3:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found 23-year-old Titus Thomas Jr. with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said the suspect or suspects left the scene before police arrived.

An investigation remains ongoing. No other details were made available.
