Police investigating after deadly fight outside of downtown Phoenix bar
A man died on Wednesday following a fight outside of a downtown Phoenix bar over the weekend, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A man died on Wednesday following a fight outside of a downtown Phoenix bar over the weekend, authorities said.
At around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, two police officers were off-duty, working security at a bar in Phoenix on Central Avenue between McKinley and Fillmore streets, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
During their shift, a fight involving multiple people occurred outside the bar. The two officers were looking to deescalate the fight when they were alerted of a person with injuries. Officers then found Rafael Montoya, 22, lying on the ground with injuries.
Montoya was taken to a hospital where he died three days later due to his injuries.

Authorities said multiple people involved in the fight were interviewed and released following an investigation. Police said they searched for video footage in connection to the fight.
No arrests have been made in connection to the case. The investigation remains ongoing.
