Indian restaurant opens first Arizona location in north Phoenix

Fast-casual Indian restaurant Tikka Shack opened its first Arizona location in Desert Ridge Marketplace near the Loop 101 and Tatum Boulevard.

PHOENIX — A fast-casual Indian restaurant opened its first Arizona location in north Phoenix this week.

Tikka Shack, located in Desert Ridge Marketplace near the Loop 101 Pima Freeway and Tatum Boulevard, offers build-your-own menu options and a self-serve beer wall.

The company is based in Texas and has two locations in Lubbock.

Menu items include tikka masala, garlic naan, lamb biryani and an original curry.

Tikka Shack also offers the Indian desserts gulab juman (pastry balls in a honey syrup) and ras malai (cheese patties served in sweetened milk).

The restaurant is open every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. near the shopping center’s splash pad.
