Allegedly impaired driver crashes into hospice facility in Phoenix, police say

A driver, who is suspected of impairment, crashed into a hospice facility in Phoenix early Saturday morning, authorities said.

Officers were called to the collision near 16th Street and Osborn Road around 2 a.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a male driver inside the car who showed signs of impairment before being taken to a nearby hospital.

There were employees in the hospice facility at the time of the crash, but none of them were injured.

Authorities also discovered that the driver hit another car prior to crashing into the building. That collision did not result in injuries.

Police did not release the driver’s age or name.
