Immersive Gustav Klimt art exhibit to open in Scottsdale

PHOENIX — The creators of the world renowned Immersive Van Gogh exhibit art experience are bringing another event highlighting a legendary artist to the Valley.

Immersive Klimt will display the work of late Austrian painter Gustav Klimt in Scottsdale starting on Saturday.

Klimt (1862-1918) was a symbolist painter who used gold prominently in his work. He was a founding member of the Vienna Secession movement which provided opportunities for young artists to show their work in Austria.

The exhibit will consist of 500,000 feet of projections and 60,600 frames of video that will bring visitors into a unique environment of Klimt’s art, according to the event website.

The Van Gogh exhibit, which also involved projections to immerse people into the art, saw 4.5 million visitors in North America, including a run in Scottsdale.

Tickets for Immersive Klimt are available online for dates through May 1.
