Imagine Dragons, Counting Crows booked for the WM Phoenix Open concert

Imagine Dragons will headline the sixth annual Concert in the Coliseum at the WM Phoenix Open’s famous 16th hole on Feb. 6, tournament organizers announced Thursday.
Counting Crows will perform as the opening act.
A temporary stage is built on the par-3 hole, which is famous for its stadium-like atmosphere during competition.
“The Concert in the Coliseum has taken on a life of its own, becoming the signature event to kick off the week that is ‘The People’s Open,’” tournament Chairman Chris Camacho said in a statement announcing the concert. “Imagine Dragons are one of the biggest rock bands in the world and will bring a catalog of global anthems to the loudest hole in golf.”
Tickets for the 21-and-older show go on sale Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. through the tournament’s website. Gates open at 3:30 p.m.
The Las Vegas-based rock group has sold more than 55 million records and holds four diamond-certified singles. The won a 2014 Grammy for Best Rock Performance for “Radioactive.”
Past performers at the 16th hole concert include The Killers, Post Malone, Maroon 5 and Blake Shelton.
