PHOENIX – A massive illegal marijuana operation was uncovered in east Phoenix on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on the indoor enterprise near 40th Street and McDowell Road and found what Sheriff Jerry Sheridan called one of the largest illegal grow operations he’d seen in over a decade.
The bust was made after MCSO’s Special Investigations Division intercepted tips and packages of suspected illegal shipments.
What was found at site of illegal marijuana operation?
The Phoenix operation was thought to be supplying a nationwide marijuana distribution network.
MCSO said it expected to seize hundreds of marijuana plants and a large amount of processed product worth millions of dollars.
The investigation is ongoing.

Pfff! You're forgetting Shurrf Jerry's got himself a spiffy cowboy hat and too few photo ops.
Agree, except I support a child eating their carrots but not gummies.
It should be legal and no different than growing carrots. The federal govt needs to leave people alone.
