PHOENIX — Motorists will have to contend with a major closure on Interstate 10 in west Phoenix this weekend.
Westbound I-10 is scheduled to be shut down from 35th to 67th avenues from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for sign work and lane striping, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The same construction will also close both I-17 ramps to westbound I-10 at the “Stack” interchange.
The 4-mile long I-10 closure is one of several metro Valley improvement projects expected to cause lane restrictions and closures over the weekend, though inclement weather could postpone some roadwork, ADOT said.
