PHOENIX — Authorities have identified the person whose remains were found at a West Valley landfill in April.
The Surprise Police Department identified the body as 23-year-old Raquel Marie Morales on Thursday.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office hasn’t yet released a report on the cause of death.

Morales’ body was discovered on April 17, according to Surprise PD.
An employee at the privately-run landfill in Surprise discovered the body around 7 a.m. and immediately contacted law enforcement.
