PHOENIX – An Arizona-based house-flipping company announced it was relocating its headquarters from one East Valley suburb to another to accommodate rapid growth.

Offerpad, which has been based in Gilbert since launching in 2015, said Monday it would move into a bigger location in Chandler by the beginning of March 2019.

The new site will encompass nearly 40,000 square feet, more than triple the size of the Gilbert offices.

The company buys homes for cash, offering fast sales, flexible closing dates and local moving services. It then turns around and resells the houses for a profit.

Offerpad has around 150 Arizona-based employees. Cortney Read, Offerpad’s director of communications, told KTAR News 92.3 FM that the company plans to increase its staff to meet the demands for its service.

“We are looking for everybody from business operations to marketing to real estate to tech and IT. … We’re really expanding in nearly every department right now,” she said.

Offerpad has seven regional offices outside of Arizona, covering more than 370 U.S. cities, with a Dallas-Fort Worth branch scheduled to open in November.

It has nearly 400 employees nationwide, an increase of about 90 percent over the last 12 months.
