Bicyclist dies 1 week after hit-and-run collision in Phoenix

A bicyclist who was critically injured in a hit-and-run collision in Phoenix last month has died, authorities said.

PHOENIX – A bicyclist who was critically injured in a hit-and-run collision in Phoenix last month has died, authorities said.

Richard D Miller succumbed to his injuries on March 7, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Miller was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after 1 a.m. on Feb. 28.

He was riding a bicycle near 35th Avenue and El Caminito Drive, north of Northern Avenue, when he was struck by a vehicle that left the scene, police said.

Anyone with information about the deadly hit-and-run collision is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377) or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) for Spanish. Callers can remain anonymous, and tips that lead to an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward.
