PHOENIX — Phoenix Technical Rescue Teams rescued a 48-year-old female hiker who briefly went unconscious while hiking Camelback Mountain on Sunday morning.
Firefighters found the woman nearly one-fourth of a mile up the trail. She showed signs of dehydration and could not make it back down the trail on her own.
The team administered cold fluids intravenously on the mountainside, then transported her to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
The hiker and her family are visiting from Chicago.
