High school senior’s hilarious photoshoot capturing ‘beauty of Tucson’ goes viral

PHOENIX — As graduation approaches for high school and college seniors in Arizona, many will take the opportunity to capture the essence of their school in a “senior photoshoot.”

But one Tucson high school student’s senior pictures have stood out from the rest, even earning her viral status on Twitter, according to KVOA News 4 Tucson.

Timea Post, 17, said her senior photoshoot was “inspired by the beauty of Tucson,” but there’s just one problem: The photos featured an Eegee’s, a Mattress Firm, a Bookman’s and a road construction site.

Post told the news station that the inspiration for the post actually came from Twitter trends.

“We were thinking about how on Twitter, they always make fun of Mattress Firms and construction, and then Bookman’s and Eegee’s are also iconic Tucson things,” she said.

As of Thursday, the tweet has been liked more than three thousand times, retweeted nearly a thousand times and has been featured on the likes of Buzzfeed and Teen Vogue, something the teenager describes as “insane.”

“All the retweets and the likes, that was insane. And then Buzzfeed messaged me,” Post told KVOA. “It was crazy and ever since that article has been released it’s been insane.”

Post isn’t the only Arizona student to go viral this week: An ASU student’s Facebook post went viral after she posted her tax returns online in an effort to demonstrate how immigrants contribute to taxes.
