Here are Arizona’s 10 richest people in 2022, according to Forbes

PHOENIX — Arizona once again had double-digit representatives in Forbes’ annual list of world billionaires, which was released Tuesday.

Used car dealer Ernest Garcia II was the Grand Canyon State’s richest person for the second consecutive year, even as his net worth dropped by about 45%.

In total, Arizona had 10 individuals make the list of 2,668 billionaires.

Their combined net worth was $36.3 billion, down from $44.6 billion in 2021.

Tesla’s Elon Musk jumped into the top spot with a fortune of $219 billion.

Musk dethroned Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, who had held the title of world’s richest person for the previous four years.

The nearly 2,700 billionaires combined were worth $12.7 trillion, $400 billion less than in 2021.
