Greater Phoenix Chamber unveils economic recovery dashboard

PHOENIX — The Greater Phoenix Chamber has created a new dashboard tailored for businesses looking to recover from the effects the coronavirus has had on the economy.

The dashboard, which launched in August, is designed to help guide businesses through economic recovery and provide useful information about the economic climate, the organization said in a press release Wednesday.

“Through extensive surveying during the initial months of the COVID-19 pandemic and a series of focus groups with business and community leaders, we recognized a resounding need for leaders to be empowered with relevant, timely and accessible information to get our economy back on track and inform the decisions they make for their companies,” Todd Sanders, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Chamber, said in the release.

The dashboard is compiled of key economic indicators such as sales tax revenue and the unemployment rate. It also provides the latest from the state regarding COVID-19 cases and includes tabs for health care and real estate.

“The goal of this new economic development venture is to be a resource to businesses as they navigate reopening, returning to normal and determine how to expand in the coming months,” Jennifer Mellor, chief innovation officer, Greater Phoenix Chamber, said in the release.

“The Arizona Economic Dashboard will serve as an information hub as the Chamber continues to support business growth and retention in our region.”
