Glendale couple indicted for child sex trafficking, drug trafficking

PHOENIX —  A Glendale couple was indicted on 19 counts, including eight for child sex trafficking, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced Wednesday.

Tennessee Jackson and Donald Ladel Jackson’s 11 other counts included control of an illegal enterprise, sexual exploitation of a minor, money laundering and drug trafficking.

According to the indictment, the couple recruited women as young as 17 years old to engage in prostitution and “sexually explicit performances for men.”

They also used the girls to transport illegal drugs, controlled the girls’ living arrangements and set prices and dates for acts of prostitution, according to the indictment.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety investigated the case and rescued two minor victims and one adult victim, according to the Attorney General’s Office.
