As the summer travel season heats up, Arizonans continue to get a break at the pump, with gas prices dropping for the fourth week in a row.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the Grand Canyon State has dropped 19 cents from $4.48 last week to $4.29.

Additionally, drivers across the U.S. are seeing gas prices fall as the national average for a gallon of gas is down to $3.99. This marks the first time since March that the average has been that low, according to AAA.

“Crude oil prices are down as the U.S. and Iran reach a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz,” Doug Johnson, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group, said in a news release. “These sliding gas prices are welcome news for millions of people who are preparing to travel for Independence Day in record numbers starting next weekend.”

Despite the decrease in gas prices, Arizona ranks as the eighth-most expensive state for gas ($4.29). California ($5.64) is the most expensive state in the nation, while Hawaii ($5.57), Washington ($5.43), Alaska ($5.04) and Oregon ($4.92) round out the top five. Indiana is the least expensive state at $3.39 per gallon.

Can someone with a brain (MAGA need not apply) tell me why the US and it's citizens deserved to be punished financially for no reason at all? Could it be because the "poorly educated" elected a liability!
