7 hospitalized after 3-vehicle collision on I-17 frontage road in Phoenix

Seven people were hospitalized after a rush hour collision Wednesday morning on a freeway frontage road in Phoenix.

PHOENIX – Seven people were hospitalized after a rush hour collision Wednesday morning on a freeway frontage road in Phoenix, authorities said.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash on the southbound Interstate 17 access road near Camelback Road, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Crews responded to the scene around 7:30 a.m. and evaluated the patients.

Three of the hospitalized women were listed in critical condition.

Two other women and two men sustained minor injuries.
