Four Peaks Brewing Oktoberfest returns to Tempe Town Lake for 52nd year

PHOENIX — Four Peaks Brewing Oktoberfest is returning to Tempe Town Lake for its 52nd year this October.

The three-day Bavarian themed festival kicks off on Friday, Oct. 10 and goes through Sunday, Oct. 12.

The event is open to all ages and features two stages for live music with headliners including Annie Bosko, Fastball and Emily Wolfe.

The festival will take place at Tempe Town Lake from 5 p.m. to midnight on Friday, noon to midnight on Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Besides the live music, the festival will also have German food, drinks, games, carnival rides, dancing and more.

Returning activities will include Wiener Dog Races, a brat-eating contest, the Four Peaks Brewing Stein Holding Competition and the Frank Kush Foundation’s Runnin’ for the Brats on Saturday.

The run around the lake will offer a 10K, 5K and one-mile option and Oktoberfest costumes are encouraged.

Everyone who participates in the run will receive free Saturday admission. Registration for the race is now open.

Proceeds from the Oktoberfest will go toward Tempe Sister Cities and help send Tempe high school students to nine of the 11 cities in the program.

Super Early Bird pre-sale tickets for the festival are on sale now. Tickets prices start at $18 for general admission and $60 for VIP Backstage Experiences. There is also a three-day VIP package that is $195.

Each VIP ticket includes access to a front-row stage viewing area, a private bar with exclusive drink options, private restrooms, meet-and-greets with bands — when available —, free drinks and food and more.

Admission will be free on Sunday and all weekend for attendees 20 years of age and younger.

There are also volunteer opportunities available for free admission.
