PHOENIX — A former Arizona Diamondbacks player has a little extra holiday spending money in his pocket after selling his Valley home for $4.75 million.

The Phoenix Business Journal reported Tuesday that Eric Chavez sold his Paradise Valley home to Systems Holdings West, LLC for cash.

The custom-built, six-bedroom, 10-bathroom home was first listed back in late June for $5.4 million.

The home was built in 2004 in a Santa Barbra style and is over 10,000 square feet.

The master bedroom comes with its own fireplace and not one — but four — separate closets.

The backyard was clearly built for an athlete with a baseball field, football field and batting cages.

For the animal lovers, the house comes with a five-stall horse stable and a riding ring.

The pool was made for a hot, Arizona summer coming fully-equipped with a water slide, spa and gazebo big enough for the whole family.

The listing agent, Rusty Davis, has been in real estate for 30 years and claims it’s the most unique home in Paradise Valley.

“Similar to [Chavez], who was a ‘can’t-miss baseball prospect,’ this is a ‘can’t-miss property.’” Davis said when the home was listed.

Chavez played in the MLB for 16 years. He played for the Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees and finished his career with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

He sold the home because he got a job with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
