PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs ordered state government buildings to fly flags at half-staff on Sunday for Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

The order stated that flags are to be lowered from sunrise to sunset to honor and remember the 2,403 service members and civilians killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.

Individuals, businesses and other organizations are encouraged to lower their flags to pay tribute as well.

Agree. There’s far too much emphasis on team politics. I understand when the uneducated/unsophisticated opt to pick one side and abdicate their responsibility to think for themselves, but it continues to amaze me when intelligent people do it too.

You’d be in the rarest form of politics. A lot of people are strictly R or D no matter what. I sometimes wonder if you push an agenda without saying who is behind it, how opinions would change. I bet the both of us would be shocked. . It just depends who pushes it. For the record, this is a respectable position for Hobbs. I can appreciate her doing this.

I remember during The Idiot’s first term when he dramatically increased spending on research for chronic kidney disease, a real need. I congratulated him for it, even though it was difficult. Apparently the MAGA sheep aren’t up to the task.
