Firefighters battle early-morning blaze at Phoenix sushi restaurant

PHOENIX – Firefighters were called early Friday to battled a blaze at a sushi restaurant in Phoenix, authorities said.

Crews responded to J&C Sushi & Chinese on Bell Road west of Interstate 17 at 2:30 a.m. to find the standalone building in flames, the Phoenix Fire Department said in a press release.

Ladder trucks with high aerial streams were used to help control the flames.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.

No other information was immediately available.
