Federal inmate in Arizona gets 10 months added to sentencing for exposing himself to officers

An Arizona federal inmate has tacked nearly another year onto his stay behind bars after repeatedly exposing himself to prison staff, authorities said.

Raphel Samone Crosby, 34, was sentenced on June 9 to 10 months in prison by U.S. Magistrate Judge Eric J. Markovich, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona.

The new sentence will run consecutively to Crosby’s current prison term at the Federal Correctional Complex in Tucson. Crosby is now expected to remain incarcerated until August 2030 after originally being scheduled for release in October 2029.

Crosby had originally pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent exposure.

Federal prosecutors said an investigation revealed that Crosby exposed his genitalia to correctional officers working at the Tucson facility on multiple occasions.

The United States Bureau of Prisons handled the investigation, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Tucson managed the prosecution.
