FBI seeking man who robbed Glendale bank, attempted to rob another

PHOENIX — Federal authorities are seeking a man who robbed a bank in Glendale and tried to pull another job in less than a week.

The suspect robbed the Chase Bank near 95th Avenue and Camelback Road at about 11:15 a.m. on Nov. 2, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said.

Five days later, the suspect attempted to rob the Wells Fargo Bank near 55th and Northern avenues at about 9:15 a.m. but the FBI said a teller did not comply with a demand note.

The man said he had a handgun during one of the incidents, authorities said.

The FBI described the suspect as a Hispanic male between 30 and 40 years old, between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-7 and about 170 pounds.

The man wore a black baseball cap, black and gray sweatshirt, gray shorts and dark-colored tennis shoes during the first robbery.

He also was observed wearing a dark blue beanie, blue sweatshirt and sunglasses on his head.
