Man lying in Phoenix driveway at night dies after getting run over
Authorities are investigating after a fatal collision in Phoenix in which a man lying down on a driveway was ran over and pinned by a car Tuesday.

PHOENIX — Authorities are investigating after a fatal collision in Phoenix on Tuesday night.
Officers with the Phoenix Police Department responded to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian in the area of 17th Avenue and Tonto Street around 11:20 p.m. They found a man who was pinned underneath a vehicle.
The Phoenix Fire Department then arrived at the scene and removed him.
The man, whose name has not been made public, was brought to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle that pinned him stayed on the scene. After an evaluation, police said there were no signs of impairment.
Investigators believe the victim was lying in the apartment complex’s driveway, wearing a dark shirt, when the vehicle ran him over.
