Police seeking witnesses after woman stabbed to death at Glendale intersection

PHOENIX – Authorities are asking the public for help with an investigation into a fatal stabbing in Glendale.

Officers responded to multiple calls about a person being stabbed at the intersection of 83rd Avenue and Cardinals Way around 9:15 p.m. Monday, according to the Glendale Police Department.

The victim, 62-year-old woman Judy Lopez, was taken to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Detectives are trying to find witnesses to the fatal stabbing.

“What investigators do know, however, is there were multiple cars traveling through the intersection, as well as people in the area,” Officer Moroni Mendez said in a media advisory. “Our detectives need these individuals to come forward and provide information regarding what they saw or heard.”
