Fatal rollover crash shuts down Interstate 10 south of Phoenix

PHOENIX – One person was killed in a car crash on Interstate 10 south of Phoenix early Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The wreck shut down eastbound lanes at mile marker 175, near State Route 587, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said in an email.

The single-car rollover happened around 5 a.m. The road reopened shortly before 8 a.m.

State troopers were assisting the Gila River Police Department.

Traffic had been diverted onto State Route 347.

No other details were immediately available.

One person died Monday morning in a rollover crash in the same area on eastbound Interstate 10.
