Fantasy 5 ticket from Arizona grocery store hits $438,000 jackpot

PHOENIX – A lucky Arizona lottery player hit the jackpot of $438,000 in Wednesday’s Fantasy 5 drawing.

A ticket from the Safeway at Swan Road and Sunrise Drive in Tucson matched the winning numbers of 9, 17, 28, 33 and 40.

Fantasy 5 is a daily game that costs $1 per entry. Tickets can be purchased at more than 3,000 Arizona Lottery retailers statewide.

The odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in nearly 750,000.

Wednesday’s jackpot was the game’s first since Dec. 23, 2025, when a ticket from a Bashas’ supermarket in Sun Lakes hit for $202,000.

The estimated top prize reset to $50,000 for the next drawing on Thursday.

Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes for all Arizona Lottery draw games.
