Valley lottery player hits jackpot worth $54,000 in Fantasy 5 drawing

PHOENIX – For the second time in under a week, an Arizona lottery player won the Fantasy 5 jackpot.

The lucrative ticket was purchased at the Cobblestone Auto Spa at 616 W. Baseline Road in Tempe.

It matched all five numbers in Tuesday’s drawing — 4, 5, 20, 32 and 40 — to win $54,000.

How rare is a Fantasy 5 jackpot?

The odds of winning the top Fantasy 5 prize are one in about 750,000. However, the feat has been accomplished twice in recent days.

On Thursday, a ticket sold in Coolidge hit for a $473,000 prize. The jackpot resets to $50,000 after a win.

Fantasy 5 is a daily Arizona Lottery drawing. Tickets, which cost $1 per entry, can be purchased at more than 3,000 retailers statewide.
