PHOENIX — A part of Sky Harbor International Airport’s Terminal 4 was evacuated Friday evening after a woman’s “false terrorism report” to airline personnel caused a Phoenix Bomb Squad investigation.

The incident took place around 5 p.m. after 53-year-old Hope L. Webber was not allowed to board the airplane which resulted in her becoming angry, according to Phoenix Police Sgt. Mercedes Fortune.

Fortune says that following Webber’s claims, the plane was deboarded and a section of the concourse was closed off until officers deemed the area safe to resume airport operations shortly thereafter.

Webber was arrested and booked for false emergency reporting and making a false terrorism report, according to Fortune.
