Enjoy drive-thru light show, snow, Santa, more at Goodyear Ballpark

PHOENIX – With Cactus League baseball months away, Goodyear Ballpark has time to get into the holiday spirit with more than a million lights, tons of snow, a visit from Santa and more.

In addition to its ongoing Christmas in Color drive-thru light show, the spring training home of the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds will host Home Plate for the Holidays festivities Saturday night.

The free event is scheduled for 5-8:30 p.m. and will include the lighting of the Goodyear Christmas tree and plenty of family-friendly activities.

Santa will be available for free photos, while available. Children will have to pick up a wristband at the team shop on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 5 p.m. to secure a time slot for a visit with the jolly one.

Don’t forget to bring mittens so the kids can play in the snow – all 40 tons of it.

Other activities include inflatable bounce houses, slides and an obstacle course as well as a 15-foot snow globe families can climb inside for a photo.

If you can’t make it to the stadium at 1933 S. Ballpark Way on Saturday, you can still go there nightly – except Sundays and Christmas Day – until New Year’s Eve to enjoy the Christmas in Color display.

The drive-thru experience features more than 1.5 million lights synchronized to holiday music.

Hours are 6-10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 6-10:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Tickets can be purchased online for use during 30-minute time slots.

Prices range from $25 to $30 per vehicle, and Goodyear residents can get a 20 percent discount through Dec. 15 by using the code GoodyearInColor.
