Arizona Attorney General’s Office publishes statewide elder abuse registry

PHOENIX — The Arizona Attorney General’s Office recently launched an elder abuse registry to help families and victims find justice, according to officials.

The public can browse the registry to find records of allegations and complaints, including abuse against “vulnerable adults,” filed as far back as November 2018, according to a Monday announcement from the office.

“I am proud to increase transparency and finally give aging Arizonans and their loved ones the information that they may need to make informed decisions about their care,” Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes said. “I promised to protect our state’s seniors from fraud, neglect and abuse, and by publishing our elder abuse registry, we are doing exactly that.”

The registry spanned 17 pages when it was first published, and it will be updated monthly.

It’s available to download on the “Senior Abuse” page of the Attorney General’s Office website.
