PHOENIX — Mark your calendars and pull out your stretchy pants: Postino WineCafe is set to open its second location in Scottsdale on May 4.
According to the Phoenix Business Journal, Postino Highland, which is also the seventh location in Arizona, will open in the former Valley National Bank at 4821 N. Scottsdale Road.
The location will boast an 18-seat bar and an 80-seat dining room within the 5,900-square-foot property.
On par with other Postino locations, this one will also feature unique wall decor. In this case, it will be vintage matchbooks.
Lauren Bailey with Upward Projects, the development group behind the restaurant, said they worked to find a historic building in which to open their second Scotttsdale location.
“In North Scottsdale there’s not much adaptive reuse, because it’s a newly-developed area,” she said in an interview with the Phoenix Business Journal. “We turned over every rock trying to find something, but we had so many customers that lived up here that we decided Kierland would be a good fit.”
The first Scottsdale location opened in Kierland Commons in 2015. It was the first in the chain not located in a historic building.
