Investigation underway after shooting in Glendale involving federal agents

PHOENIX – Federal agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration were involved in a shooting in Glendale on Wednesday night, authorities said.

“This evening DEA was conducting a law enforcement action in Glendale that resulted in a shooting incident with a suspect. … DEA will not comment further as this situation is being investigated,” the agency said in a statement.

The condition of the suspect is unknown.

The incident occurred in the area of 43rd and Peoria avenues.

Who is investigating Drug Enforcement Administration shooting?

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is leading the investigation into the DEA shooting.

The Glendale Police Department provided support to the DEA and DPS at the scene.

No other information was made available.
