Driver killed in wreck on Interstate 10 West in Phoenix
One person was killed Wednesday morning when a semi trailer and a pickup truck collided on Interstate 10 in Phoenix.

PHOENIX — One person was killed Wednesday morning when a semi trailer and a pickup truck collided on Interstate 10 in Phoenix.
The 2 a.m. wreck shut down the westbound freeway near 51st Avenue for four hours.

The pickup truck driver died after smashing into the back of the semi.
The highway department said traffic backed up to 43rd Avenue.
The freeway reopened shortly before 6 a.m.
