PHOENIX — A traffic stop in southern Arizona last week resulted in the seizure of 36 pounds of fentanyl, authorities said Tuesday.
An Arizona Department of Public Safety state trooper and a U.S. Border Patrol agent pulled over 26-year-old Erick A. Jimenez of Rio Rico on Interstate 10 at milepost 231 in Marana, according to a press release.
The drugs were found concealed inside the Volkswagen Jetta Jimenez was driving and he was booked into the Pima County Jail on charges including possession and transportation of a dangerous drug for sale, authorities said.
