Donald Trump reportedly plans to visit Arizona border, hold rally in Glendale

PHOENIX — Former President Donald Trump plans to visit the U.S.-Mexico border in southern Arizona next week, according to abc15.com.
He is scheduled to appear at a border event at Montezuma Pass on Thursday, per Brahm Resnik of 12 News. Former Vice President Mike Pence held an event in the same location two years ago when preparing to run for the White House in 2024.
Clea McCaa, mayor of Sierra Vista, first confirmed Trump’s visit to the border in Cochise County on Friday.
Sierra Vista is about 15 miles north of Mexico.
Trump, who is seeking election for a second term, also plans to hold another rally in the Valley as part of his second visit to Arizona in the past three months. The rally will be held Friday at 4 p.m. in Glendale at Desert Diamond Arena. Doors will open at noon.
Attendees may register for up to two tickets per mobile number. All tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Trump also appeared at a rally in Phoenix back in June.

Where is Desert Diamond Arena, site of Trump rally
Desert Diamond Arena is located near State Farm Stadium in the Westgate Entertainment District near Glendale Avenue and the Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway.
The venue, which is owned by the city of Glendale, had a capacity of about 17,000 for hockey games when the Arizona Coyotes played there, but it’s unclear how many people are expected for Friday’s rally.
Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz held their first Arizona rally at Desert Diamond Arena on Aug. 9.
