Police investigating after man found dead with gunshot wound in Phoenix home

PHOENIX — A man was found dead in a home in Phoenix’s Ahwatukee area on Saturday morning, authorities said.

The Phoenix Police Department identified the man as 50-year-old Daniel Rysavy.

Rysavy was found in a residence south of Chandler Boulevard near 15th Street and Liberty Lane shortly after 9:30 a.m., according to police.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and he suffered from at least one gunshot wound, police said.

Officers found him while responding to a welfare check.

The deadly shooting investigation is ongoing.
