Investigation underway after deadly shooting in west Phoenix parking lot
Police are investigating after a shooting in a Phoenix parking lot on Sunday morning killed one man and injured two others.

PHOENIX — An investigation is underway after a shooting in a in a west Phoenix parking lot left one man dead and two others injured Sunday, authorities said.
The shooting happened around 5 a.m. near the intersection of 27th Avenue and McDowell Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
At the scene, responding officers found two men who had been shot. One of the men died at the scene, while the other was taken to a hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
A third man was also injured in the incident. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries but has since been released.
After leaving the hospital, the third man was interviewed by homicide detectives. He was released from custody, pending additional investigation, police said.
No other details about the shooting were released.
