Crash closes Interstate 17 at Bethany Home Road

Interstate 17 southbound at Bethany Home Road is closed due to a crash.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said the Bethany Home Road and Glendale Road on-ramps going southbound are closed. All traffic already on the freeway going that direction will be asked to exit at Bethany Home.

ADOT asks motorists to avoid the area as there is no estimated time the freeway will be reopened. The crash is not affecting northbound I-17.

Drivers can call 511, visit ADOT’s Travel Information Site at az511.gov or follow them on Twitter (@ArizonaDOT) for more updates.
