PHOENIX — Corso Italia, a new destination for Italian cuisine in Scottsdale, is holding a grand opening celebration next week.

The fine-dining establishment and market debuted earlier this year at 7704 E. Doubletree Ranch Road, east of Scottsdale Road, in the Gainey Ranch neighborhood.

The festivities will include live music along with what is being billed as “culinary delights” and a “vibrant atmosphere.”

Corso Italia is more than just a restaurant

Chef Corrado La Macchia is the mastermind of the Corso Italia culinary experience, which combines upscale dining with a market that sells some of the same cheeses, pastas and sauces used in the restaurant’s dishes.

Shoppers can also find specialty imported cold cuts, prepared meals, desserts and other items found in a traditional Italian market.

The restaurant’s menu includes a diverse selection of meat, seafood and pasta dishes, as well as salads, antipasti, panini sandwiches and pinsa, a pizza-like item.

The venue also offers catering and private dining options, along with cooking classes and wine-pairing dinners.

Outside of the grand opening, Corso Italia is closed Mondays. The regular operating hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday-Sundays.
