Compass Church breaks ground on 3rd Valley location
Compass Church is expanding its reach after breaking ground on a third Valley location on Sunday in Goodyear.

PHOENIX — Compass Church broke ground on a new church in Goodyear on Sunday.
The 18,000-square-foot facility at 16060 W. Van Buren Street is the church’s third Valley location.

The new state-of-the-art church will include an 800-seat worship space and expanded parking.
Church leaders worked with a contractor and a design team on the $6.7 million space.
CCGB Architects led the project by planning and designing the future place of worship.
The new location is part of the church’s Gaining Ground initiative, which is a two-year plan to grow the church’s reach in the West Valley.
Compass Church has two other locations in Chandler and Casa Grande.
The 10-acre property will feature a new auditorium, a lobby and children’s classrooms.
“We are thrilled to take this next step in our journey,” pastor Ronn Smith said in a Tuesday release. “This new facility will provide a space where our community can experience God’s love and grow in their faith. We are grateful for the support of our congregation and the community as we embark on this exciting new chapter.”
The Goodyear location is scheduled to open in April 2026.
