Closures on Loop 101, Interstate 10 planned over the weekend

PHOENIX — Sections of the Loop 101 Pima Freeway and Interstate 10 will be closed over the weekend, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Loop 101 in north Phoenix will be closed in both directions for 2 miles between Interstate 17 and Seventh Avenue, as well as frontage roads and the I-17 ramps to eastbound Loop 101, for utility line work from 9 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday.

There will also be multiple restrictions on I-10 across the Valley.

Westbound I-10 will be closed between 51st and 67th avenues in west Phoenix from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge work at the future Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange.

Westbound on-ramps at 27th, 35th and 43rd avenues will be closed, as well as 59th Avenue at the I-10 overpass in both directions.

Eastbound I-10 at Estrella Parkway, both directions of Loop 303 ramps to I-10 and the I-10 eastbound on-ramp at Sarival Avenue will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 12 p.m. Saturday for installation of traffic sensors.

Eastbound I-10 at Perryville Road and the on-ramp at Jackrabbit Trail will be closed from 10 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday.

The eastbound I-10 on-ramp at Baseline Road and the eastbound I-10 right lane near Baseline Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday.

Drivers can also gets alerts and alternate route notifications via ADOT’s mobile app.
