Amazing Arizonans: Clint Hickman talks election threats, family’s egg legacy

Joining me on the latest episode of Amazing Arizonans is none other than Clint Hickman, a former Maricopa County supervisor who hails from a long line of egg farmers here in Arizona.

While serving as a supervisor, Hickman scrambled more than a few brains when he voted to certify the county’s election results back in 2020, saying there was no evidence of fraud, misconduct or malfunction.

Threats and harassment haunted him for years after that. Last year, he announced that he wouldn’t seek reelection for the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. When I asked him why, he said it was because of his family — but added that he thinks political vitriol is driving good people away from elected positions in Arizona.

But that’s not all we talked about. There’s a lot more to his county service, which started in 2013 when he was elected to represent District 4 in the West Valley in 2023.

We also talked about the legacy of Buckeye-based Hickman’s Family Farms, which has been helping Arizonans make omelets since 1944.

Hickman currently works as the vice president of sales and marketing, while his siblings hold other roles within the company. His brother, Glenn, is the CEO — and you might have heard him talking about how the avian flu impacts egg prices in recent months.

He also tells me how his family business has given back to the community for decades.
