PHOENIX — The National Weather Service is forecasting a Christmas cool down in the Valley with the high expected to be 59 degrees.

Tuesday’s forecast was a 10 degree drop from expected highs on Sunday and Christmas Eve, which were both set at 68 degrees.

They were also projecting a 30 percent chance of rain on Christmas Day, which could make for a bumpy return flight to the North Poll if Santa is running late dropping off presents.

Further north in Flagstaff, rain and snow were expected to fall beginning on Tuesday afternoon and into Wednesday morning. The NWS is projecting 1-4 inches of snow between the two days.
