Arizona man sentenced to 28 years in prison for sexually abusing 4 children

A U.S. district judge sentenced an Arizona man to more than 28 years in prison for child sex crimes, authorities announced Thursday.

Before his sentencing on May 7, Ski Redfeather Johnson pleaded guilty to four counts of abusive sexual contact with a minor, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona.

Johnson is from San Xavier, which is in Pima County, about 17 miles southwest of Tucson.

He sexually abused four different children — all of whom were under the age of 12 — from 2015 to 2020, prosecutors said.

“Ski Redfeather Johnson repeatedly preyed upon and stole the innocence of four children,” U.S. Attorney Timothy Courchaine said in the announcement.

The sexual abuse occurred at four residences where Johnson lived, all of them on the Tohono O’odham Nation.

The judge sentenced Johnson to a total of 340 months in prison for his crimes.

“This 28-year sentence reflects the relentless work of FBI Special Agents and Tohono O’odham Nation Tribal Police officers dedicated to protecting these children and bringing their perpetrator to justice,” Courchaine said.
