Chandler woman allegedly tried to fraudulently obtain nursing license

PHOENIX — Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced Friday that Laura Lynn Bell of Chandler was indicted for allegedly trying to fraudulently obtain a new nursing identity.

Bell, a former psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, had her nursing license revoked in 2016, according to a press release.

According to the attorney general’s office, Bell allegedly sent a name change request form to the University of South Alabama and tried to get her nursing transcripts in a new name.

She also allegedly sent the university a forged Maricopa County Superior Court minute entry and driver’s license with a changed name and birth date, the release said.

Bell was accused of treating Veterans Affairs patients without a license and defrauding insurance companies in a separate case, which she was on release from when the new offenses allegedly occurred.

Bell is facing four felony charges and is being held without bond.
