Chandler Ostrich Festival rescheduled for Halloween weekend

PHOENIX — After being postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak, the 32nd Annual Chandler Chamber Ostrich Festival has been rescheduled for the weekend of Oct. 30 to Nov. 1.

The festival was originally scheduled to kick off on March 13. As late as March 12, festival organizers had still planned to proceed with the event.

Following President Donald Trump’s March 13 Declaration of National Emergency, Chandler Chamber and City of Chandler officials decided to postpone the festival.

The decision marked the first time the event had been postponed in 32 years.

Tickets purchased for the originally scheduled festival will be honored for the newly announced dates.

The Ostrich Festival will be hosted at Tumbleweed Park at 2250 S. McQueen Road.

Adult tickets are $15. Tickets for seniors and children 4-12 years old cost $8, and admission is free for children younger than four years old.

Based on CDC guidelines, there will be multiple hand washing and hand sanitizing stations set up throughout the festival grounds.
